At the end of every year, many Americans make promises to themselves.
They promise to change their lives in other ways in the New Year.
Then, almost every year, they start breaking their promises by the middle of January.
The trouble with most New Year Resolution is
that people try… too then too much or too little.
Both attempts end in failure.
If you do not try to make a lot of changes, however,
the effort doesn’t seem important enough.
For example, every year, my wife promises to drink more liquids. I think it has something to do with her health.
In her heart, however,she believes
that drinking more liquids is not really important.
So, at the end of January, she forgets about it.
Many people promise to stop smoking.
Some actually do it.
I know one woman who promised 20 years ago to stop smoking.
but she said the decision took so much effort
that she never makes any new year resolution.
